As you probably know there is a manga and an anime about Naruto. The anime is based on the manga. Although the anime stays very true to the manga, there are some small differences between them. The Anime vs Manga section will tell you all about the differences we were able to find, this section will regularly be updated as more differences are found.

Because the anime is based on the manga, the story is a lot more ahead in the manga compared to the anime's. The story in the anime is over halfway already when we take a look at the manga's. The manga is still running, so who knows how long the series will continue?

The anime is a little more extensive then the manga. The Anime takes a little more time explaining things and viewing battles. Some examples I found were:

• The part where Jiraiya taught Naruto to use the Summoning no Jutsu was dragged out a lot.
• The only parts of Tenten’s fight with Temari that was shown in the manga, is the beginning and the end. You didn’t see anything of the actual fighting.
• The whole thing in episode 59 with Konohamaru and Naruto trying to get to the arena on time wasn’t in the manga.
• And off course there are a lot of other filler episodes and side stories in the anime that don't even appear in the manga.

Censorship?
Neji’s mark on his forehead is a little different from the one shown in the manga. In the manga the mark looks more like a swastika. I guess they changed it because it might otherwise remind people of World War 2 and the nazi's.
