NARUTO: Hurricane Chronicles is a Japanese anime about a 15-year-old boy by the name of Naruto Uzumaki. It is a continuation of the show NARUTO, and the storyline takes place three years after the end of it. It is often referred to by Naruto fans as "Naruto Part 2" and "Timeskip Naruto".
In this show, our protagonist, Naruto, has just come back to his home town village after three years of training with his teacher Jiraiya. His friends who were previously Gennins, are now all Chuunins and Jounins. While his official ninja rank is that of a Gennin, Naruto is now far more powerful, and arguably at the strength of the powerful Jounin, or even Hokage-level ninjas.
Despite his power, Naruto must continue to train hard because of the evils surrounding him. The high S class criminal organization Akatsuki is after the Nine-Tailed Fox inside of Naruto, as they plan to use that power inside of Naruto and put into some evil plan. Not only that, his desire to save his friend and rival Sasuke Uchiha from being totally engulfed in the evil by the devious Orochimaru drives him to push himself to the limits during his training. And of course, with all that, Naruto still wants to be Hokage - the number one ninja in his village!
NARUTO: Hurricane Chronicles the anime series is scheduled to debut February 2007 in Japan. The series is currently not planned to air in the United States, Canada, or anywhere else at the moment because the original NARUTO series is still running. If the show continues to air at a rate of one episode a week, it may be another four to five years before Hurricane Chronicles airs in the United States and Canada.
