Naruto Episode 1

Long ago there was a demon called the Kyuubi (nine tails). With a swing of its mighty tails it could make mountains crumble and cause huge tsunamis. Many shinobi (ninjas) perished trying to defeat it, but one succeeded in sealing it at the cost of his life, the 4th Hokage.

Naruto the trouble maker is on the rampage again as this time he has put graffiti all over the Hokage Monument (a kind of Mt. Rushmore looking monument that's on the side of a mountain that Konoha is next to). He runs away from the authorities but gets caught by his shinobi academy teacher, Iruka Sensei (for those who don't know, sensei is Japanese for teacher). Iruka Sensei decides as punishment that his whole class is to go through a exercise practicing the "Henge no Jutsu" (Transformation skill where a person/shinobi puts up a illusion to make him or herself look like someone else) where Naruto shows off his Oyudoke no jutsu ("Sexy no Jutsu" a skill that Naruto made up that makes him look like a naked sexy girl). After getting a good scolding he is forced to clean the mess he made on the monument earlier in the day.

Iruka Sensei takes the young prankster out to eat ramen afterwards where we find out about Naruto's dream of becoming a Hokage and becoming the best.

The next day has come and it's the day of graduation tests, and to graduate one must use the Bunshin no jutsu ("Clone skill" pretty much self explanatory, but the clone is a illusion not physical) Naruto's worst skill. Iruka sensei decides to fail Naruto after his feeble attempt at it, though Mizuki sensei (another sensei that was there to judge the test) seems to oppose the decision, but Mizuki is overruled. After the tests Naruto sits sulking watching graduates going off with family to celebrate. Mizuki Sensei finds Naruto and has a talk with him. Mizuki tell Naruto of another "secret way" to graduate.

Next thing we know Naruto a has broken in to a building and has stolen "The Scroll if Seals". A scroll with a list if Justus that were forbidden. Naruto after running for a while lost his pursuers after a while of running the forest and sits down to look at the scroll.

In the mean time Iruka finds out about the whole ordeal from Mizuki and starts looking for Naruto. When Iruka does find Naruto his finds him in the midst if training, thinking that if he were to master a skill from the scroll of seals he would be able to graduate. Iruka confused at where Naruto got the info asks where he got that idea. He tells Iruka that Mizuki told him and the n Mizuki appears. And reveal his evil intentions of trying to steal the scroll of seals by having naruto do it for him.

Iruka defends Naruto till he is severely wounded. Naruto comes to the rescue of his beloved teacher. Using the "Kage Bunshin no jutsu"? (Shadow clone skill, a cloning skill that allows you to make actual physical clones, not illusions) he multiplies himself a hundred fold and defeats Mizuki. Iruka being proud of his student gives him Konoha forehead protector symbolizing Naruto's Graduation from the shinobi academy.

Themes

Throughout the series, there is a strong theme that young people can achieve great things, despite their inherent drawbacks. One example is during the Cell Games Saga, in which Gohan (at age ten in the Japanese version, eleven in the Funimation version) is given the responsibility of defeating the villainous Cell, which he does after unlocking his inner strength. In addition, Gohan starts out at age four (five in the Funimation dub) in the series, and accomplishes much despite his young age.
Another theme is the turning of fortunes in a battle through desperation or righteous anger. Many battles proceed almost to defeat for the heroes, finally to be reversed through a desperate act to defend their home or loved ones. Characters who have used this to their advantage include Goku, Gohan and even Vegeta. This theme is found in almost every battle.
One of the main and deepest of themes is fatherhood. Not only is it seen in the obvious example of Goku and his sons, but also Vegeta, who has a hard time at first, but eventually learns what it means to be a father as seen in the Cell Games,and Buu Sagas, and most of Dragon Ball GT. Other signs of this being a theme are the lesser characters all having a father or being the father of a main character such as Mr. Satan, Gyū-Maō, Dr. Briefs, or Bardock. Even the villains show fatherhood as a theme, through Freeza and King Cold, Babidi and Bibidi, Broly and Paragus, and Piccolo Daimaō and Piccolo Jr.

History

The anime first premiered in Japan and Hong Kong on April 18, 1989 (on Fuji TV) at 7:00 p.m. and ended on January 31, 1996. It was also later broadcast across Japan by the anime television network, Animax. In Hong Kong, it was the second country to release the full seasons of Dragon Ball Z, due to close ties between Bird Studios Hong Kong and Japan.

In the U.S., the series ran between 1996 and 2003 on Cartoon Network's Toonami block. It aired in the UK on Cartoon Network, premiering on March 6, 2000 and running until 2002, with the final few episodes being shown on CNX starting from October 14, 2002 and finishing on February 28, 2003. The channel then relaunched as Toonami, on which it was repeated daily.

In the Philippines, it aired on RPN 9 first then IBC 13, both state-controlled, it was popular and became more popular when it aired on GMA Network, the show was cancelled and was returned many times due to its popularity. Currently, it airs on GMA Network weekends at 8:00am with double episodes on Sunday. After Dragon Ball Z, the story of Goku and his friends continues in the anime-only series Dragon Ball GT. This series is not based on a manga by Akira Toriyama. Toriyama's humor/self-parody manga Neko Majin Z features several concepts introduced in Dragon Ball Z (several Dragon Ball Z characters even make various appearances), but that manga is designed as a parody and not a true continuation of the series.

Here you can find the ages for the main characters throughout the Dragonball, Z, GT series. Ages are divided up by series, then saga, then character. Because of the training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, some characters aged several years more than everyone else in certain sagas. Some characters, also didn't age at all because they were dead. The reason characters like Baba and Roshi were able to live to long was because they drank from something called "The Fountain of Youth", which prevented them from any kind of natural death. Puar (a Cat) and Oolong (a Pig) are able to live very old, but it is unknown how, Turtle on the other hand, could have done the something as Roshi or just naturally been able to live that long. Capsule Corporation

Capsule Corporation - is a highly advanced technology corporation, which is owned by Bulma's father, Dr. Briefs. Capsule Corp. now stands alone in the technology standard, but they weren't always easily the best. In Dragonball, their arch nemesis was the Red Ribbon Army, which all technology made and designed for them was done by none other than Dr. Gero. After Goku defeated the Red Ribbon Army, it was thought that everyone was dead, but Goku didn't finish off Gero, he let him live, which would end up almost being the fate of all the Z Warriors when Gero created the Androids. Capsule Corp is famous for making inventions like the Dragonball Radar and gravity simulators and other extremely handy items, which are concealed in a tiny capsule. eg. hover cars, small houses, food, etc. Their wondrous adventures have easily made them one of the most recognized and richest families in the world. It also seems as though the smarts is carried through the genes, since Bulma is also just as smart as her father, if not more so. She is always ready and willing to lend a hand to the Z - Fighters anytime, technology wise, not fighting. The main reason behind Capsule Corp.'s success is because they are able to conceal all their inventions inside tiny Capsules no larger than a person's thumb which makes it for easy carrying and thus gave the company the name, "Capsule" Corp which are called for some reason in the show dyno caps.

Haku's Fighting Style

Haku
Haku has a pretty unique fighting style, considering he combines the genius of advanced bloodline, and the hard training under the ruthless Zabuza. Just as his mentor, Haku is a ninja of the village of Hidden Mist. As a result, most of his attacks are water based. In general, Haku uses speed in combination with powerful ninjutsu, which gives him a top advantage in battle. His ninjutsu skills are very good, while genjutsu loses some, due to the lack of use. Haku is a very physically active boy, and using his speed and strength, he has formidable taijutsu. Among his many skills, Haku can also do 1-handed seals, something virtually impossible. Now, lets go into detail on his top 2 Ninjutsu.

Flying water needles (HiJutsu Sensatsu Suishou no Jutsu):
This is a secret ninjutsu, and it is very very powerful. It is usually combined with Haku's demonic mirrors for an even better damage. This ninjutsu is secret, and it needs water to work. Haku lifts the water with his chakra, and then gives it a shape of needles. These needles are as good as real, and thousands can be created at once, then thrown at the opponent. However, the other ninja can protect his vital organs, and since the needles do almost no damage, it can take some time to defeat an opponent.

Demonic Ice Mirrors (HiJutsu Makyou HyouShou):
This is Haku's trump card, and it is also a ninjutsu that 90% of the time will kill the other ninja(s). This secret Jutsu is also 100% original, and only Haku can do it, due to the speed requirement. As with the water needles, this ninjutsu also requires water nearby. Haku lifts the water with chakra, and surrounds an area with ice mirrors. He then uses these mirrors as a mean of transport; however, the speeds in which he moves are so incredible, it's hard for even the Sharingan to see. After confusing the opponent, Haku launches a series of needles, or uses the flying water needles trick. This technique is inescapable because theres no exit, and the user can't see which Haku is the real one (the mirrors create illusions).

Haku doesn't use standard weapons. He uses needles, because he believes they are easier to handle and use. Their lightness are just great matching for Haku's speed, and he does know how to use them. He can throw many needles at once, and aim all of them to vital organs.

Gaara's Fighting Style

Gaara has one of the most peculiar and unique, yet powerful, fighting styles amongst the many characters of Naruto. It all revolves around his mysterious gourd, which posses magical powers. Using a great amount of NinJutsus, few GenJutsus, and almost no TaiJutsus at all, Gaara is a shinobi that could probably beat all Gennin's and even most Chuunin's of Konoha. Fortunately for Gaara, his gourd does almost all the work for him, aiding him drastically both in offense and defense. Being originated in the hidden sand village, most of Gaara's techniques are a combination of Chakra and sand, aiming to suffocating the opponent using large force. As for his defense, the sand in Gaara's gourd moves at lightspeed and blocks almost all incoming attacks, creating an extremely strong barrier. Obviously , his power lies inside that mysterious sand gourd... in the lines to follow, we explain the attributes of this "weapon" of Gaara's.

Sand Gourd
This is the ultimate source of Gaara's strength and techniques. It is said that, when Gaara was born, he was cursed with Shukaku, the sand demon. In order to stop that curse from taking complete control of his body, a special sealing Jutsu was made on Gaara, sealing his mother inside the gourd, along with Shukaku, and thus giving Gaara both their powers. This is also the reasons why at some points Gaara calls the gourd "mother". The gourd is also one of the causes to Gaara's huge hate and love to death, beacause his mother's death caused so much pain to his childhood, it left him with a lifelong trauma. However, now that he has learnt to manipulate the powers of the gourd, he is an extremely strong shinobi.The gourd's sand is the source of all of Gaara's techniques, but there is one catch; Gaara must use his chakra to hold the sand, as well as for manipulation. Among his many techniques, Gaara can create bunshins (clones) from sand, shurikens, and even command it so it wraps up around the enemy, and then suffocates him/her to death. However, the most powerful and fascinating aspect of the gourd and its sand, is the trigger of Gaara's defenses. There are basically two types of defensive techniques Gaara uses; the Sand Armor, and the Sand Shield. We describe each of them in the lines to follow.

Shield of Sand (Suna no Tate)
Using the sand in the gourd, Gaara's first and mostly used defense system consists of a thick mass of sand moving swiftly to the point that is being attacked. What is extremely mysterious about this defense is that Gaara doesn't control it; it functions automatically, protecting Gaara with extreme precision. This first layer of armory is really hard to penetrate, mainly because the sand moves at the blink of an eye, covering Gaara from 360 degrees. As a result, any weapons thrown at Gaara, along with long range NinJutsus , and most TaiJutsu , are all proven useless against his almost flawless defense. Frankly, the only real opening in the gourd's sand shield is by overcoming the sand's speed, leaving it unable to block the attack in time. A really fast TaiJutsu attack, or a NinJutsu with large amounts of Chakra (such as Chidori) would definitely be the Sand Shield's worst enemy. A high level GenJutsu would also most definitely work, since the sand can't block many spiritual attacks.

Armor of Sand (Suna no Yoroi)
This is Gaara's most seldomly used and last line of defenses; the sand armor. It is used rarely mainly because the shield of sand is penetrated only in few instances. The armor of sand is there only as a last second defense, but it has its reasons. First, it is not nearly as strong as the shield of sand is, making it considerably easier to be penetrated. Because it only includes a thin layer of sand kept closely packed together by chakra, the armor of sand also consumes big amounts of chakra, meaning that Gaara can't hold it off for a very long time. If he does, he may waste a large amount of his chakra. However, as told before, this technique is seldomly used, and even if it is used, it will most likely completely demolish the attack, causing absolutely no damage to Gaara. As a result, until his battle with Rock Lee, Gaara had never been injured before.

This wraps up the defense, but what about Gaara's offensive techniques? For his part, this Sand Shinobi uses mostly Sand NinJutsu, and he has many tricks up his sleeve. Even though his NinJutsu skills are extremely strong, Gaara merely even uses TaiJutsu. In fact, in most battles Gaara doesn't even bother to move; the sand does all the movement for him. Finally, in terms of GenJutsu, Gaara hasn't showed any specific skill in that area, since he has never used a GenJutsu in a battle. Now, to his NinJutsus; Gaara mostly uses two combining sand techniques, Sabaku Sousou, and Sabaku Kyuu. We explain both of them in detail in the lines to follow.

Sabaku Kyuu (Desert Coffin)
One of Gaara's most commonly used skills, Sabaku Kyuu does just what it stands for; it creates a mass of sand which engulfs the opponent or a part of him, such as a leg or arm. The main purpose of this technique is to immobilize the enemy, possibly creating an opening for another attack. However, since Gaara prefers playing with his enemies rather than taking it seriously, he will most likely use his chakra to contract the sand quickly together, leaving his enemy to suffocate. This technique doesn't use a whole lot of Chakra, and interestingly, it only uses one hand seal, and that is to gather the Chakra in the sand. This attack can definitely prove deadly, and if anyone is caught into it, the results will most likely be very serious injuries or death.

Sabaku Sousou (Desert Graveyard)
This technique is Gaara's alternative to the Desert Coffin. Using Chakra to manipulate sand once again, Gaara creates a big mass of sand that covers the entire enemy's body. This technique can be used on top of Sabaku Kyuu, since the enemy will be unable to move. Once on the enemy, Gaara will use his chakra to have the sand compact closely together, smashing the enemy's body into pieces. Some times, Gaara will also use his energy to levitate the opponent into the air, and then smash him up, creating a big rain of blood. This technique is believed to use more Chakra than Sabaku Kyuu, since more Chakra is needed to contract the sand together and smash the opponent. Both in this attack and Sabaku Kyuu , the sand moves at extremely fast speeds, so it is really hard to dodge, unless fighting against a TaiJutsu user. However, either way, Gaara's offense is just as good as his defense.

As you all can see, Gaara has many diverse techniques up his sleeve. Although he doesn't use any weapons at all, he does use Suna Shuriken No Jutsu, which creates metal-sharp shurikens just from sand. He also has his own variation of Bunshin No Jutsu, Suna Bunshin, which functions in the exact same way as the classic technique, but with sand instead of normal Chakra clones. Where is all that Chakra coming from though? The answer lies hidden in a demon similar to Kyuubi, hidden deep inside Gaara. When Gaara is desperate for victory, that sand demon, Shukaku, comes out, taking over Gaara's body and killing uncontrollably. Its power may be greater than Kyuubi's and it was sealed inside of Gaara when he was born, as mentioned above. Shukaku's powers are enormous; however, theres a catch for him to be released. Gaara, or the medium, needs to be sleeping. This means that Shukaku can either be brought to life by himself, fighting against Gaara, or by Gaara's will. Gaara can use the Spell of Fake Sleep, putting himself to sleep, and releasing Shukaku.

Shukaku has many techniques of his own, such as Renkyuudan, which creates huge balls made of Chakra. Normally, Shukaku appears as a huge racoon, and is about the size of GamaBunta the Frog. Once he is out, Shukaku is pretty much independent, although he always has Gaara attached to part of him, sleeping waist-high in sand. Besides just being totally released, Gaara can partially release Shukaku, growing parts of his body. For example, Gaara can choose to get Shukaku's huge arms, and use them to punch with a lot of force. What he most usually uses though, is Shukaku's Chakra, the source of Gaara's powers. Combining the magical powers of his gourd, the demon inside him, and the destiny of a great shinobi, Gaara is definitely one of the most powerful ninjas in Naruto.

Chouji's Fighting Style

Choji is one of the more unique genins of Konoha, what makes him so unique is his families trademark size. Choji's primary mode of attack is simple: beef up, and roll. Using a combination of Multisize and Meat Tank jutsus, Choji grows into a circular shape, and rolls headfirst into his enemy. Though being in this state also leaves Choji inequipped to defend himself, which is why it is such a powerful weapon combined with his teammates powers in the InoShikaChoji formation. Using the Shadow Bind technique to freeze the opponent, Shikamaru prepares the enemy for this devastating attack.

Despite having one of the most powerful Taijutsu attacks among the genins, Choji is often his own worst enemy. To fully realize his own potential, often one of two things must happen: Someone can make a comment about his weight, or a promise of food. When he hears either of these things, the fire of passion burns bright in Choji's eyes, though it still does not seem to be enough to overwhelm a stronger opponent.

Choji's style is strong, but without finesse. He truly shines when working in a combined attack with his allies, usually teammate Shikamaru. The two have a very close relationship and their trust runs deeper than any of the other genins currently introduced. While going against Choji alone is dangerous, combining his strength with Shikamaru's intelligence is deadly.

Naruto the anime was originally created and aired in Japan on October 3, 2002. So far over 220 episodes have been created by the Japanese animation company known as Studio Pierrot. Today this popular anime airs in more than just Japan, as Naruto is becoming a global phenomenon.

This above average and well done anime follows the story of Uzumaki Naruto, a boy trodden upon in his village. The village however, is a special village dedicated to the arts of Ninjutsu, and many powerful ninja's emerge from it.

Born and infused with a demon nine tailed fox, Naruto was hated with passion by many of the older villagers, and even their children picked up on it and started to hate him as well. Naruto however, felt loneliness and sadness in his life, a pain that isn't normal. He wants to be acknowledged and pledged on becoming Hokage, the title of referring to the strongest ninja in the country.

But he has a long way to go. And will meet many people he calls friends in this world of ninja's, where allegiances shift quickly as lightning. Join Naruto on his journey on becoming Hokage, or perhaps even greater.

Currently, Naruto is already licensed, so maybe you're lucky and are able to watch it on your local cable television. Also don't forget about the manga, the comic book that started it all. Something worth reading, so by all means, you shall not regret it.

Akimichi Choji House
Location: Somewhere Near Wood
This is where Choji and Chouza live. Their house is close to a wooded area. This is the main door to the house.

Barbeque Restaurant
Location: Btw Flower Shop and Hospital
This BBQ Restaurant is where Asuma often treat Choji after or before his daily routine training. Though he invite Shikamaru and Ino to come to but they don't eat much.

Bookstore
Location: Main Street
The Bookstore is where Naruto and Konohamaru went in to look at different images of girl to perfect Konohamaru's Sexy Jutsu.

Bikochu Forest
Location: Unknown
The Aburame Clan had stopped using them. A newly hatch larvae quickly turns into a pupa and transform into an adult stage. If it is expose to a smell during that stage, no matter how faint the scent is, they will follow the scent to its destination until it finds it. Its smell is several hundred times better than human. Their specialty is tracking things. The chance of finding a Bikochu is only 10%.

Chunin Exam Stadium

This is where the final stage of the Chunin Exam was held, the start of the invasion of the Leaf Village and where the Third Hokage died.

Curry Shop of Life can be found deep in the Fire Country and in a remote area between the Leaf Village and Katabame Kinza Village. Sansho-basan and Karashi live here. Sansho-basan is known for making spicy curry.

The Forest of Death is where the 2nd stage of the Chunin Exam is held. It is surrounded by a metal fence and 45 gates equally spreads throughout. In the middle is a tower, surrounded by 2 rivers.

Konoha Strict Correction Facility was originally name "Special Ninja Felony Prison". This is where S Rank Ninjas and those who broke Konoha Laws stay and repay their services to the village.

Memorial Monument
Location: Near Hokage Monument and Survival Training
The Memorial Monument is a carved stone that represent the K.I.A of Konoha. They are ninja who have fought for the Leaf Village and died a hero. They are any shinobis who are "Killed In Action". The most noticeable names are" Hayate Gekko, Obito Uchiha, Iruka's Parents and the Third Hokage (Soon). There are many others.

Nakano Shrine

Nakano Shrine is the Uchiha Clan sacred shrine located next to the Nakano River. Inside the Shrine, under the 7th (from top) tatami mat on the right side is the Uchiha Clan secret hideout. The room also contain the Uchiha Clan hidden secret, the Mangekyou Sharingan.

Nara Ranch

Narake is also call "Nara Laboratory". This is where the Nara Clan make most of their medicine from Deer antlers. This is one of 2 laboratory in the Leaf Village, the other is the Kebia Laboratory.

This is Orochimaru's hideout and where he keeps his all of his prisoner. The prisoners are also use for his next container. Orochimaru and Kabuto live here too.

Location: Border between Fire Country and Rice Field Country
This is where Naruto and Sasuke had their final battle. The left statue is Second Hokage and the right statue is First Hokage. A waterfall in the middle.

Sharingan Guide

Sharingan
The Sharingan (Copy Wheel Eye) is a special type of eye that naturally appears in some of the members of the Uchiha clan. The Sharingan allows the user a number of abilities and is a dojutsu (pupil technique). One of the things Sharingan can do is that it can percieve and copy ninjutsu (ninja techniques), genjutsu (illusionary techniques), and taijutsu (hand-to-hand techniques) with perfect accuracy and allow the user to use the techniques, as long as they have the necessary resources (like chakra) to do so. Second, it is capable of a unique brand of hypnosis that involves suggesting actions and thoughts to the opponent. Third, it can see through genjutsu, the level of which is possibly dependent on the user's skill. Fourth, it has the ability to predict an opponent's movement as well as allowing sight of fast moving objects with great clarity.

The weakness of the Sharingan, in Kakashi's case, is that it drains chakra quickly. In order to copy a jutsu, one has to have the physical ability to perform the technique. For example, they have to have the needed amount of chakra, stamina, agility, and/or strength in order to perform said technique. In addition to physical skill, the Sharingan cannot copy any other bloodline abilities or summon a creature the user has not made a contract with because the user of the sharingan has to have the same blood of the other summoning user. In Itachi's and Sasuke's case, their chakra is still drained, but incredibly more slowly, due to the fact that they have the actual Kekkei genkai of the Uchiha clan.

The Sharingan does not automatically appear from birth in a user; instead, it will usually appear when the user is in a life threatening situation, where the power of the Sharingan will save the user. After this first appearance, the user can then call up the Sharingan any time he or she pleases. (Due to its unique nature, Kakashi's Sharingan seems to be "permanently on", and thus he covers it except during heated battles, to conserve chakra.) Interestingly enough, it is possible to transplant Sharingan eyes from one person to another, as is the case with Kakashi and his deceased comrade Obito Uchiha. However, transplanted eyes do not work as well without an Uchiha body, causing much more strain on the user. The power of the Sharingan is judged through the number of tomoe in the person's eye. Below are the types of Sharingan one can have.
Types of Sharingan

	Normal Uchiha Clan Member Eye The normal eye for an Uchiha clan member is just like any normal human eye with an iris, pupil and sclera.

	Sharingan with 1 Tomoe This is type of Sharingan has 1 tomoe. It allows the user to perceive motions. An example of this was in the battle between Sasuke and Haku. Sasuke could see Haku's attacks coming.

	Sharingan with 2 Tomoe This is type of Sharingan has 2 tomoe. It allows the user to perceive motions as well as be able to copy the motions perceived. An example of this is when Sasuke was fighting Rock Lee. Since Sasuke was new at this at the time he wasn't that good at it, but he perceived Rock Lee's Taijutsu during his battle and copied it. Than later on during the Chuunin exam he should everyone that he could also use the Taijutsu because his Sharingan had perceived and copied it.

	Sharingan with 3 Tomoe This is type of Sharingan has 2 tomoe. It allows the user to perceive motions, copy the motions perceived, and predict motions. An example of this is during the fight between Sasuke and Naruto at the Valley of the End. Sasuke could perceive Naruto's motions, copy them, and than predict what Naruto was going to do next. Essentially, to Sasuke through use of his Sharingan, it looked like Naruto was going in slow motion that's why he could predict Naruto's next movement.

	Sharingan in shape of a 3 Bladed Shuriken Sasuke had this type of Sharingan in his battle with Naruto only briefly. The advantage of this type of Sharingan is unknown, but it is speculated that it takes the abilities to perceive motions, copy the motions perceived, and predict motions to a new level.


	Itachi's Mangekyo Sharingan The Mangekyo Sharingan (translation: Kaleidoscope Copy Wheel Eye) is a heightened form of Sharingan which was once thought have been attainable only by members of the Uchiha clan, and even those who have the potential to obtain it must make a great sacrifice in order to obtain it - according to Itachi, they must kill their best friend. In the present, there are only two known people who can use the Mangekyo Sharingan: Itachi and Kakashi. According to Itachi, if his younger brother Sasuke obtained the Mangekyo, the number of people who could handle the Mangekyo Sharingan (including Itachi and Sasuke) would be three. Using this type of Sharingan Itachi can create a mysterious and very powerful black fire, liek the one he used to escape from Jiraiya's inner frog mouth barrier. It also allows the use an illusion technique. Itachi looks into his opponent's eyes and cast a Genjutsu spell on them. This allows Itachi to have full control over space and time and can place his opponent to be in any world for as long as he wants. The technique itself only lasts a short while in reality, however, to the opponent it feels like an eternity. As far as we know, only Sasuke can overcome this technique because he is a pure Uchiha with the power of Sharingan..

	Kakashi's Mangekyo Sharingan It is somehow capable of creating an interdimensional space-time warp. Kakashi uses it to warp Deidara's right arm into a different dimension. He subsequently uses it again in Chapter 278 to counter Deidara's ultimate move, which would otherwise level the entire forest they were fighting in. However, the attack requires considerable effort to aim precisely and appears to leave Kakashi's chakra significantly drained: he collapses after using the technique three times. Although this eye is labeled as Mangekyo Sharingan, it is not exactly the same as the version that Uchiha Itachi uses. The appearance of the pupil and tomoe differ from that of Itachi's. Kakashi's tomoe seem more like a pinwheel than a kaleidoscope. Before this was shown, it was thought that one had to have Uchiha blood and had to kill their best friend to acquire the Mangekyo Sharingan. Kakashi is not an Uchiha, and he stated long before developing his Mangekyo Sharingan that everyone close to him was already dead.

Anbu Team
Anbu is an elite team of ninjas belonging to the Leaf Village. The Anbu are noticed by the animal masks they were, and are assigned many various jobs including assassinations and escorts. Bandages
Bandages are not only used for dressing style or covering up wounds - but they are used in the Iron Fist style which is a Taijutsu. Mainly wrapped around the arms, the bandages have the ability to unwrap and be used to bind the enemy in preparation for a explosive technique. Collectors
Collectors are reffered to in the second part of the Chuunin Selection Exam. They need to collect two scrolls the Heaven Scroll and the Earth Scroll, but Collectors collect more scrolls when coming upon weaker enemies. The collectors do this knowing that stronger challenges that lye ahead they can pass the exam and not battle by submitting the enemy a scroll. Collectors also give scrolls to other members of their village to make sure they will pass it aswell. Coup D'etat
A French word meaning to overthrow a government or dictator; Which are attempted usually in small groups of members of the community which are known as rebels. Momochi Zabuza attempts this act on the Hidden Mist Village but does not suceed and leaves the village. Cursed Seal
This is seal performed by Orochimaru. He bites the victim and leaves a mark on the victims neck. The mark is similar to the designs as the Sharingan, three little black flame/comma like shapes. When someone gets bitten they immediatly get knocked out and there is a little chance that the victim will get up from it. If by any chance someone survives the bruise reacts whenever the ninja tries to mold chakra and it extracts the ninjas power. The Cursed Seal is a forbidden technique and some of the shinobi that have the mark are Anko, and Sasuke. Exploding Note
This tool is a note which explodes after a set amount of time. A shinobi uses it by attaching it to a kunai and throwing it close to the enemy so it will hit them or using sacrifices such as animals. This works because of the writing on the note which casts a spell to make the note to explode after a set period of time. Head Protector
This is a rectangular peice of metal which is attached usually to a blue or red colored bandana either folded or left normally. Each village have there own symbol carved in the center of the metal sheet to represent and show that they are members of the village. The way Head Protectors are worn have no boundaries but the traditional way is on the forehead but it usually worn in different places such as a belt or tied around the arm. Hunter-Nin
There are teams of hunter-nins assigned for each village, they wear masks with designs painted on them. Their job is too look for missing-nins who leave the village taking the villages secrets with them. When they are found the hunter-nins kill them and destroy their bodies so the villages secrets are kept safe. Some of the villages secrets include its Chakra types and its Jutsus. Ichiraku Ramen
This is the local Ramen Diner located in the Hidden Leaf Village. It makes the freshest and best Ramen in the Hidden Leaf Village and it is Narutos favorite place to eat Ramen. Jutsu Types
There are five main Jutsu Types beloging to the five great shinobi countries, each country has special jutsus that mainly use elements. The elements used are: Fire, Water, Lightning, Earth, and Wind. Karasu
A larger version of a string puppet but is used as a tool; Instead of strings the puppet is controlled with strings of chakra from the users hands to move the doll. An example of a Shinobi that uses this tool is Kankuro. Kinjutsu
Kinjutsu means Forbidden Skill in Japanese. There are techniques and spells created that were forbidden from using because some of the affects were to dangerous to use such as techniques that are used for evil deeds or have fatal chances on the user. Kunai
This is a basic combat weapon mainly used by Genins but it is made for any rank of Ninja. A Kunai is in the shape of a small dagger with a ring at the end so it can be grabbed and pulled quickly out of the pouch. It doesnt have to be thrown it can be used the slash or stab the enemy and can cause critical damage if it hits the right place, but Kunais can be blocked much easier by opponents with more skill. Makibishi
This tool/weapon is a bunch of spikes and it is thrown/set on the ground so that your enemy can step on it, they can have no effect on the enemy or do critical damage and work well with stalling your enemy to get a clear shot with a technique or another weapon such as a kunai or shuriken. Missing-Nin
These are Ninjas who abandon their Village and become wanderers. Some missing-nins are used by other villages to find out the villages secrets to give them an advantage in battle, because the villages are afraid of this they make teams of Hunter-nins who seek and destroy the villages traitors to keep its secrets safe by killing them and letting animals eat the Shinobis intestines. Mist Ninja Seven Swordsmen
A group of highly skilled ninjas from the Hidden Mist village. This group was made with the best ninjas wielding swords from the Hidden Mist Village which included Momochi Zabuza. Ninja Registration Book
When a Genin receives there registration I.D. that information goes straight into this book. It contains all of the villages shinobi from the weakest to the strongest from the most skilled to the least youll find all the village ninja in this book. The pages in this book show the ninjas profile along with other information about the ninja, since this book gives out so much information it is kept safely from the wrong hands. Ninja Registration I.D.
After graduating from the Academy and becoming a Genin the ninja receives an I.D. This I.D. contains a photo of the ninja and various information including his/her birthdate, registration number, and a profile about them. After this completion the ninja's get this peice of information put into the Ninja Registration Book. Ninjutsu
Ninjutsu reffers to almost everything a Ninja uses in battle from his/her techniques, spells, and skills/abilities. To be able to use Ninjutsu properly you must be able to control your chakra and keep it stable, a way of improving over you control of your chakra is walking up trees, and being able to perform a seal. Ninjutsu is also reffered with your skills and techniques on gathering all sorts of information. NinPou
This is the Japanese term for Ninja Arts/Art Of The Ninja. Seal
A seal is a bunch of hand movements which are named and respresented after animals. These movements are used to cast jutsu's, there are also types of ninjas who can perform a Seal using one hand, this has an advantage in close battle. Smokeball
This is a tool used by Shinobi. They throw the sphere close to the enemy and when it lands on the ground it explodes and lets out a large cloud of smoke giving the Ninja an advantage over his/her opponent. Taijutsu
This jutsu is in the form of Martial Arts which the ninja relies on Martial Arts based techniques, skills and abilities. Most Ninja's that only use Taijutsu are because they are not able to perform Ninjutsu or Genjutsu, but because the strive to do anything they can to become a true shinobi they practice vigorously and claim taijutsu as their life and only way of becoming a shinobi. An example of a Ninja that uses Taijutsu is Rock Lee. The Great Naruto Bridge

Naruto Misstion Levels

In Naruto, there are many different rankings for missions. The higher the rank you are, the more dangerous and higher level the mission is. Below is a list of the different levels.

Rank S
These missions may not always be the most dangerous but only ANBU members or the Kage participate in them. It is very unlikely anyone of a lower rank would be part of these missions.

Rank A
This type of mission is the most dangerous. Ninjas ranked Jounin or higher are usually assigned to these missions. Very often, if things are very bad you will see a Kage participating. Generally you will not find a ninja of lower rank than Jounin in these types of missions unless it is absolutely necessary. Rank A missions are extremely dangerous and usually there is a death or severe injury as a result of it.

Rank B
Missions B ranked are not as tough as A ranked missions. The difficulty is still pretty high. Most B ranked missions involve retrieving important documents or protecting someone and taking them to a certain location. Mostly Jounin or Chuunin ranked ninjas perform these types of missions.

Rank C
These types of missions are generally performed by Chuunins. At times you will even see skilled Genins performing missions C ranked. Most C ranked missions involve protecting an elderly or sending/retrieving a document.

Rank D
D ranked missions are the lowest ranked. These missions are almost all performed by Genins. These missions usually are tedious work or basically useless work. Some missions include: saving an animal, taking out the garbage, walking an animal, or other pointless and boring work. Genins who want to be Chuunins must complete 8 of these missions.

Teams In Naruto there are often groups or teams that are put together to complete certain missions together. Below are some of the teams found in the Naruto series.

	Team 7 This team was led by Kakashi Hatake and included Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, Sasuke Uchiha,. The team was formed after Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke graduated from the Ninja Academy and passed Kakashi's Bell test. They completed numerous tasks together to help further develop Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke's ninja skills in the earlier part of the NARUTO series.

	Team 8 This team was led by Kurenai Yuuri and included Shino Aburame, Hinata Hyuuga, Kiba Inuzuka, and Akamaru (Kiba's dog). The team was formed after Shino, Hinata, and Kiba graduated from the Ninja Academy. They completed numerous tasks together to help further develop Shino, Hinata, and Kiba's ninja skills in the earlier part of the NARUTO series.

	Team 10 (Ino-Shika-Cho) This team was led by Asuma Sarutobi and included Shikamaru Nara, Ino Yamanaka, and Choji Akamichi. The team was formed after Shikamaru, Ino, and Choji graduated from the Ninja Academy. They completed numerous tasks together to help further develop Shikamaru, Ino, and Choji's ninja skills in the earlier part of the NARUTO series.

	Team Gai This team was led by Gai Maito and included Neji Hyuuga, Rock Lee, and Tenten. It is assumed that this team was formed after Neji, Lee, and Tenten graduated from the Ninja Academy. They completed numerous tasks together to help further develop Neji, Lee, and Tenten's ninja skills before and in the earlier part of the NARUTO series.

	Ino-Shika-Cho (Older Version) The fathers of the Gennin team were supposedly united as genins back in there youth. Still together since then, they pass on there jutsu to there offspring. The members of this clan are Inoichi Yamanaka , Shikaku Nara and Chouza Akimichi. Inoichi is specialized in the mind-transfer and manipulation, Chouza is specialized in body multi-sizing and Shikaku is specialized in shadow abilities to freeze and control other bodies with shadows.

	Konohamaru Corporation This team of people, who are just friends, are all from the Hidden Leaf Village. The people in this team are Konohamaru, Moegi and Udon. Konohamaru. Konohamaru, also the grandson of the Third Hokage, acts like he is the leader.

	Zabuza and Haku Zabuza Momochi is a missing-nin who found Haku one snowy night alone when she was young on a bridge, freezing. Zabuza decided to take Haku under his wing and trained him to become a powerful ninja so that he could use him as a ninja tool. Zabuza's goal was to acquire territory, and Haku's goal was to help him. In the end, they were unable to do this as they they were defeated by Team 7.

	Sand Village Team The team, originally genin, were from the Hidden Sand Village. There members were Temari, Kankuro and the most powerful, Gaara. Kankuro is a master of puppets, Termari is the master of winds, and Gaara has a demon inside of him, which fuels his power. The team has been together even before the Chuunin Exam and stays as a team throughout NARUTO.

	Sasuke Retrieval Team A team of genins, led by a chuunin, was put together to bring Sasuke back after he fled the Hidden Leaf Village to go to Orochimaru to gain more power. The team members were Naruto Uzumaki, Neji Hyuuga, Choji Akmichi, Kiba Inuzuka, and Shikamaru Nara (who was the Chuunin leader).

The Legendary Sannins
This is one of the most powerful teams ever. Before they were sannins. this team was originally led by the Third Hokage, with the team members being Jiraiya, Orochimaru, and Tsunade. The members all left each other when Orchimaru left his village to practice on Kinjutsu (which is a type of forbidden jutsu). Jiraya went on to enjoy himself as he searched for information to write erotic books (which we see frequently Kakashi read) and Tsunade left to see her gambling luck with a subordinate and a pig.

The Sound Four
These four people are from the Hidden Sound and are a specialized ninja team put together by Orchomaru to serve him as elite guards. The people with in this group are Kidoumaru, Sakon, Tayuya and Jiroubou. Each of these people have been bitten by Orchomaru, thus giving them the power of his cursed seal. Each of the members have a special talent, Jiroubou has powerful sound techniques, Sako has the ability to take over somebody else's body by implanting his twins head into them,, Tayuya uses instruments to project her genjutsu sound techniques to control puppets, and Kidoumaru uses his webs as powerful weapons like absorbing chakra or becoming a hard substance that can penetrate almost anything. It was shown in the series when Orochimaru fought the Third Hokage that together, the Sound Four can form a powerful barrier. It was created so that the Third Hokage and Orochimaru could fight each other 1 on 1.

	Fuujin and Raijin These two brothers originate from the Hidden Leaf Village. They are prisoners in the villages jail, but can actually break out of it if they desire. When they are not fed food when they are hungry, Fuujin and Raijin become extremely angry and go on a rampage. When they are not hungry though, they are really nice and obey orders.

	Itachi and Kisame The criminal organization, Akatsuki breaks its members into two-man teams to gather information and catch Jinchuuriki and their Bijuus. Itachi Uchiha and Kisame Hoshigaki were teamed up to gather information and capture Naruto and the Nine-tailed fox which resides in him.

	Deidara and Sasori The criminal organization, Akatsuki breaks its members into two-man teams to gather information and catch Jinchuuriki and their Bijuus. Deidara and Sasori were teamed up to gather information and capture Gaara and the One-tailed Racoon dog which resides in him.

	Hidan and Kakuzu The criminal organization, Akatsuki breaks its members into two-man teams to gather information and catch Jinchuuriki and their Bijuus. Hidan and Kakuzu were teamed up to gather information and capture a female Jinchuuriki and the Two-tailed cat which resides in her.

Naruto rivalries

Throughout the series of Naruto, there are many rivalries between characters. Below you can find information on some of the main rivalries that extend throughout the series.

Naruto & Sasuke
Since the moment they saw each other in the academy; they've despised each other. Sasuke was popular with all the girls and didn't care, Naruto wasn't popular with any of the girls and did care. Naruto always thought Sasuke was trying to show off and Sasuke was basically annoyed with Naruto until he saw him in his first true battle with Zabuza. Then Sasuke acknowledged that Naruto wasn't just an annoying ninja and gained a little more respect for Naruto. Now instead of just resenting Naruto, he made it his goal to defeat him. Naruto and Sasuke train intensively to beat each other in combat.

Gai & Kakashi
Since they were in the academy, these two current Jounins have been fighting to top the other. Their record in any kind of competitive game, match, or whatever (which include games of "Rock-Paper-Scissors"), is 49-50, with Gai in the lead by just 1. Their rivalry is quite intense and they are constantly holding various competitions, which range widely, to see who is the best. Another way they express their rivalry is through their team of Gennins. Whenever their pupils go into battle with each other; they urge them on to beat the other because of their rivalry. Many times however, this rivalry is used for comical purposes.

Ino & Sakura
When these two were in the ninja academy, Ino was a more popular girl who helped Sakura gain more confidence in herself and become better at many things. They were best friends and got along really well. But then they both found out that the other liked Sasuke. Because of this, they became rivals, debating who would win the love of Sasuke. Their greatest battle was in the preliminaries of the 3rd part of the Chunnin Exam and it was a tie. During the fight, they stated that this fight wasn't about Sasuke and each of the Shinobis showed their true power.

Neji & Rock Lee
Although this rivalry is not as obvious and doesn't show as often as others, it is there. Neji believes that when a person is born, their fate is decided and cannot be changed. Rock Lee believes that through hard work, anyone can persevere. Rock Lee has always wanted to defeat the genius Neji, but Neji doesn't really accept Rock Lee as being a good Shinobi until Lee's fight with Gaara.

Orochimaru & The Akatsuki
Ever since Orochimaru left The Akatsuki, he has not been looked upon kindly by the members of Akatsuki. Orochimaru has been tracking down the location of The Akatsuki along with his right hand man Kabuto. He met with Sasori and was planning on killing him after finding Akatsuki’s location.

Cursed Seals Guide

The Curse Seal was developed by one of the Legendary Sannin, Orochimaru. The seal is used as a form to control the person and a technique to literally kill the person through suffering. A person with the curse seal only has a 10% chance of surviving. If the evil curse seal has consume a person's body, that person will gain tremendous dark chakra and increase their strength and speed, giving them level 1 curse seal. The curse seal can active at anytime. A person's will is able to stop the curse seal from spreading or active it.

To obtain level 2 curse seal, a person must lost his life, not actually died but fake death. The person will eat the Seishingan drug and is placed inside a container, sealed with seal symbol. The drug will make the person fall into a coma, much like near death. When the Seishingan drug have fully consume the person, that person has achieved level 2. Anyone that stay in level 2 form for a certain amount of time will lose themselves forever and become evil.
Sasuke Uchiha Curse Seal
Sasuke's curse seal is known as the Heaven Seal. It is the strongest and powerful of all the curse seal. He received the mark during the 2nd stage of the Chunin Exam. It was merely a test for Sasuke to see how strong an Uchiha bloodline is.

Curse Seal Level 1
Sasuke achieved level 1 curse seal when the curse seal had consume his body. It took over his body during the fight against the 3 Sound Ninja, giving him big amount of chakra. The spreading of the curse seal will active the level 1 curse seal.

Curse Seal Level 2
After taking the Seishingan drug and placed inside the container, the drug was able to fully consume Sasuke and somewhat killed him. He must died to obtain level 2 curse seal. In this level, Sasuke light brown and grew longer hair and has 2 wings. This form makes his Chidori (Lightning Edge) turn black instead of white. Sasuke doesn't stay in this form long because he doesn't want to lose himself forever. Anko Mitarashi Curse Seal
Mitarashi Anko must of received the curse seal when she was young. Orochimaru used her to accomplish his own goal and never took care of her as his student. Anko survived after receiving the curse seal but we never saw her in at level 1 curse seal. She is able to control the curse.
Jiroubou Curse Seal Level 1
Jiroubou probably received the curse seal when Orochimaru was scouting for an army. The curse seal spread in a triangle style. His strength increases.

Curse Seal Level 2
His level 2 curse seal grant him 10 times the normal strength. His skin turns reddish and his hair is extended longer.

Kidoumaru Curse Seal Level 1
Kidourmaru probably received the curse seal when Orochimaru was scouting for an army. The curse seal spread in a vine style. He is able to control and manipulate spiders and spider webs.

Curse Seal Level 2
His level 2 curse seal turn him into a werewolf like. His skin turns red and has a fluffy hair and contain a third eye on his forehead. His body is protected and surround by spider web. His able to make bow and arrows with his mouth and shoot them.
Kimimaro Kaguya Curse Seal
Kimimaro's seal is known as the Earth Seal. It is the 2nd strongest and powerful as the Heaven Seal. He probably received the curse seal when he was a wandering kid. He is able to manipulate his bone structures and use them as weapons.

Curse Seal Level 1
The curse seal spread like a maze.

Curse Seal Level 2
His level 2 curse seal turn him dinosaur like creature. He has a tail and has 3 large bones sticking from his spinal cord. In this form he able to use his spinal cord as a weapon and create a flowering spear.

Sakon - Ukon Curse Seal Level 1
Sakon probably received the curse seal when Orochimaru was scouting for an army. Sakon has a twin brother name Ukon that lives inside him. He's able to enter a person's body and destroy the person's cell from the inside. Ukon surface when Sakon summon him or on his own will. The seal spreads like a bold line.

Curse Seal Level 2
His level 2 curse seal, Sakon and Ukon each grow a horn on opposite side and a metal armor on the opposite side of the horn. In this form he is able to summon Orochimaru's strongest defense, the seal gate Rashomon.

Tayuya Curse Seal
Tayuya probably received the curse seal when Orochimaru was scouting for an army.

Curse Seal Level 1
The seal spreads in a zigzag line.

Curse Seal Level 2
Her level 2 curse seal, Tayuya grow 5 horns and turn dark brown. In this form she is able to use her Genjutsu techniques, the Demonic Flute: Illusion Harmony.

Mizuki Touji Curse Seal
This seal was sealed within Mizuki during his mission as a Chunin. He was bitten by Orochimaru's hidden snake in his right arm. This seal is different from other Orochimaru's seal.

1st Effect from Red Potion
To achieve his perfect form, Mizuki stole 3 medical ingredients from Narake (Nara Laboratory) and mixed them together to get a reddish chemical. The red chemical increased the sizes of his arms, his face looks like a tiger and 3 black stripes on both of his biceps.

2nd Effect from Red Potion
Mizuki will power up his aura to gain a distinct Tiger look. He has orange fur and white fur in the mid section. Stripes covers his arms and shoulder blade. In this form he divert his speed into power, making his reflexes slower but more power in his punches and kicks.

Final Effect from Red Potion
Mizuki's body began to change into an old and brownish body because of the incomplete medicine ingredient Mizuki drank (created during Orochimaru experiment for forbidden jutsu). The medicine take animals identity and infuse them with human to generate power but its only temporary. It put strains on the cell causing them to rotten and age.
